There is a new digital humanities podcast out there. Technoculture. Federica Bressan, a fellow Marie Curie Fellow and specialist in digital audio preservation and archiving, has started this podcast during her project that was based at the Krook and UGent. We met in Ghent and had a huge number of interesting conversations during which I learned a lot about audio preservation and archiving. In hindsight, I remembered I also would have liked to talk about what great progress GDPR means for archives and born-digital research on personal digital archives when it comes to building trust with donors and depositors. GDPR already meets many, even most, of the concerns that the data subjects may have and it is very helpful for archivists and researchers that there are already very good regulations in place.
